Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Hospice Sussman House

About the role

The MH Registered Nurse II - Hospice role provides nursing care and coordinates care for terminally ill patients of all ages in their homes utilizing nursing principles, systems, and resources that affect health status and results in maximum outcome achievement.

Responsibilities

• Care for terminally ill patients in their homes
• Utilize nursing principles, systems, and resources to provide comfort and dignity
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team
• Build lasting connections with patients and families
• Create a peaceful, comforting environment for patients and families during their final days

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
• Valid Driver’s License to operate a motor vehicle, with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy required
• One year of recent RN experience required
