Registered Nurse (RN) - Hospice General Inpatient

Responsibilities

• Implement care to achieve outcomes of comfortable and safe dying, self-determined life closure, and effective grieving for patient and family.
• Maintain the dignity of the dying patient while supporting their unique spiritual and cultural beliefs, providing appropriate support at the time of death, including medication disposition, funeral home notification, etc., according to agency policy.
• Complete all clinical documentation following agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.
• Coordinate patient care for optimal transition from the hospital to a hospice care setting, wherever the patient calls home.
• Attend interdisciplinary team meetings for full team discussions, consultations, and evaluations of patient/family needs.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum 3 years inpatient clinical experience, preferably in hospice.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
• Capable of all physical demands.
