Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Hospice

About the Role

A compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to deliver high-quality, patient-centered end-of-life care in an inpatient setting. The role involves providing emotional and clinical support to patients and families, coordinating and implementing individualized care plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and supervising Hospice Aides/HHAs. The position requires autonomy, effective communication, and ongoing professional development, with cross-campus coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and documenting comprehensive health data
• Formulating and evaluating personalized care plans
• Prioritizing and coordinating patient care
• Providing emotional support to patients and families
• Performing rounds with physicians and communicating care updates
• Supervising and guiding hospice team members
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Supporting performance improvement initiatives
• Serving as a resource and role model for staff
• Maintaining knowledge of hospice nursing best practices
• Representing the organization in community outreach activities

Requirements

• Active RN license through the Maryland Board of Nursing
• AHA BLS Provider certification
• Reliable transportation
