Role Overview The position involves providing compassionate nursing care in an Intensive Care Unit, supporting patients, families, and the healthcare team. Responsibilities include executing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and supervising assigned staff to promote and restore patient health. Key Responsibilities Create a supportive environment addressing emotional, psychological, and spiritual needsPerform nursing assessments and interventionsCoordinate care with healthcare professionalsSupervise and mentor team membersMaintain compliance with clinical standards and safety protocols Qualifications & Skills Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferredValid RN license in practice state; Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationAdditional certifications like ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on patient populationCritical Care experience and specialty certifications such as CCRN or CEN are advantageous Core Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to collaborate effectively within teamsEmotional resilience and compassionate patient careKnowledge of intensive care protocols and procedures
