About the Role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care in support of medical care as directed by medical staff and pursuant to objectives and policies of the hospital. The RN supervises unlicensed personnel who may also be providing care for clients assigned to the RN. As a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team, the RN collaborates actively in continuous, unit-based, and hospital-wide performance improvement processes within guidelines defined by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas standards of practice, Tenet corporate standards of conduct, and Nacogdoches Medical Center (NMC) policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum: Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing

Experience: Minimum: Graduate Nurse with Temporary Permit

Licensure: Required: RN license in the State of Texas

Certification: Required: BLS, ACLS (Note – Required certifications are to be completed by 3 months of employment)
