Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU or Telemetry - Per Diem, Day & Night Shifts

About the role

Provide high-quality, safe patient care in an acute-care hospital setting, monitoring and assessing patients, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams. Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to safety and infection-control protocols. Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality care in ICU or telemetry units
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and specialized equipment
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain electronic medical records accurately
• Follow hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
• Educate patients and families about care plans
• Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic environment

Requirements & Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license
• At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test completed within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
