Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, ensuring awareness of ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
- Maintain a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience, assuming responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others on the patient care team through communication and utilization of available resources.
- Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (e.g., damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors.
- Understand the patient population served.
- Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers.
- Consistently set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
- Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualize the plan of care to address specific patient needs.
- Perform other duties as required; responsibilities may change with or without notice.
Requirements
- ASN or Nursing Diploma from an accredited school of nursing.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
- BLS certification upon hire and ACLS Certification within 6 months of start date.
- Documented completion of TCAR – Trauma Care After Resuscitation every 2 years.
- Completion of Critical Care Course after 3 months.
Preferred Qualifications
- Med./Surg. Telemetry and/or ICU nursing experience.
- CCRN Certifications.
Schedule
- Day shift, 35.3 hours per week (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM).
- Monday – Friday and every other weekend.
Pay
$47.85 - $67.04 per hour
