Compensation ranges from $27.74 to $45.46 per hour, depending on previous work experience. Additional differentials: $2.50/hr for evening shifts, $3.00/hr for night shifts, and $3.00/hr for weekend shifts.

About the Role
Our Surgical Unit at Norman Regional is seeking a new graduate or experienced RN to join our team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong willingness to learn, and understands how to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate clinical care alongside a team. Our Surgical Unit has thirty-two beds and cares for patients with both surgical and nonsurgical conditions through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Nurses collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible treatment for patients.
Responsibilities
- Assessment/Reassessment: Systematically assesses and reassesses the healthcare needs of individuals, appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions. Involves patient, family, and other healthcare providers as needed.
- Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes: Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family, and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
- Implementation and Coordination of Care: Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgment guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations, and policy.
- Evaluation: Evaluates patient outcomes using critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts, and reach sound conclusions. Evaluates discharge needs related to the plan of care utilizing resources as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
- Previous experience in the healthcare field preferred (requirements can be met by an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or active Multistate RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current BLS certification must be maintained throughout employment.
- New graduates are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
Schedule
7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, day shift. This is a regular full-time position.
