Registered Nurse - RN Hospice Visits

About the role

BAYADA Hospice is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse, RN to join our team in the North Jersey Hospice office, located in North Bergen, NJ for per diem visits. This office services hospice clients on a per visit basis in North Jersey (primarily Essex, Union, Middlesex counties).

Schedule

• Minimum of 2 weekdays availability required
• 1–2 holidays per year mandatory
• No on-call required
• Must be willing to cover any county—assignments will vary
• Weekly pay

Pay

Base pay, depending upon qualifications and subject to negotiation: $50–$52 per hour

Requirements

• A current license as a Registered Nurse in NJ
• Minimum of one year of recent, verifiable clinical (medical/surgical) experience
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
• Ability to travel to cases as assigned
• Reliable transportation needed
• RN’s must be comfortable with Hospice admissions

Qualifications

Prior home care and/or hospice experience strongly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Making home visits to clients in designated geographic territories
• Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care, treatments, and procedures and comfort care
• Monitoring clients’ conditions; reporting changes to Clinical or Client Services Manager
• Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors’ orders
• Performing client assessments as necessary
• Occasional on-call after hours and/or weekends
