About the role
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in hospice care, providing comprehensive nursing services to terminally ill patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans
- Coordinate with an interprofessional team to ensure quality, evidence-based care
- Promote cultural sensitivity and advocate for patients
- Communicate changes in patient condition
- Responsible for documentation and maintaining safety standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Valid RN license and driver's license needed
- Less than 2 years of experience; 2-5 years preferred
- Prior hospice experience is advantageous
Key Duties
- Deliver patient-centered care
- Evaluate and update care plans
- Support emotional and spiritual needs
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Must be safety-conscious and capable of working in a high-alert environment
