Registered Nurse (RN) / Heart & Vascular ICU

About the role

The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multifaceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing. The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The CN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice
• Demonstrate appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles
• Coordinate/direct care delivered by the interdisciplinary team
• Ensure compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures
• Provide physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of current ICU or Emergency Dept hospital-based RN experience

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• BSN preferred
