Registered Nurse - Cardiac ICU

About the Role

The registered nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Medical ICU provides patient care utilizing the nursing process, ensuring professional accountability and evaluating the effectiveness of care delivered by others. They coordinate patient care with other departments, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and perform duties aligned with organizational standards and values.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Support a collaborative healthcare environment by working with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in Missouri or equivalent compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for prolonged periods, and perform nursing duties requiring mobility.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Prior hospital experience.
• Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, CCRN).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
