Registered Nurse (RN Generalist)

This position is for a Registered Nurse (Generalist) at Chester County OB/GYN in West Chester, PA, with additional locations in Kennett Square, Downingtown, and Exton.

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• One evening shift per week: 11:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients' health care needs based on signs and symptoms using established triage protocols and guidelines
• Obtain appropriate input and direction from providers to determine the best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient health care
• Accurately document symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided, and patient/caller response
• Follow policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency, departmental effectiveness, and improved health care outcomes and access for patients/callers

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in documenting within an electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and function in a fast-paced environment
• Competency in phlebotomy and standard nursing procedures

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nursing license applicable to the care center's location(s)
• Minimum 1 year experience in an outpatient clinical setting (preferred)
• Phlebotomy experience required
• CPR certification required
• Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR (strongly preferred)
• Familiarity with OB/GYN or women's health patient populations (beneficial)
• Understanding of lab order sets and CPT coding (a plus)
• Willingness to support satellite locations if needed

Pay

$30 – $37 per hour. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position; final offers are based on skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
