About the role
Registered Nurse (RN) in a Medical-Surgical General Surgery unit responsible for delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and evaluate care effectiveness
- Coordinate with other departments
- Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
- Adhere to organizational standards
- Ensure professional accountability and uphold mission and values
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license in Missouri or valid compact licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire
- Preferred: prior hospital experience, BSN, additional licensure or certifications, specialty experience
Skills & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform mobility tasks throughout shifts
- Proficiency in reaching, bending, kneeling, and twisting as needed for nursing duties
