Registered Nurse (RN) - Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Center
About the role
The Largest Independent Established Multi-Specialty Group in Central North Carolina is seeking an RN for their Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Center. Bethany Medical is a Multi-Specialty provider practice located in Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Kernersville, Jamestown, North Wilkesboro and Mount Airy, North Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing actions consistent with established policies and procedures when providing direct/indirect patient care
- Monitor patient BP, pulse, respiration’s and SaO2%
- Start IVs
- Administer medications and IV fluids as ordered by physician
- Maintain open airway and administer O2 as ordered
- Obtain EKGs
- Input data into EMR
- Give post-procedure instructions to patient and family, including medication and diet education
- Patient assessment prior to discharge
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the state of North Carolina with at least one year of nursing experience
- Certified in both BCLS and ACLS (preferred)
- Experience with Allscripts (preferred)
