Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Float Pool Supervisor, Registered Nurse (RN) to lead the daily operations of our outpatient nursing float pool. This leadership role combines clinical expertise with staff supervision to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care across multiple ambulatory care settings. The successful candidate will support nursing staff, maintain clinical excellence, and foster a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Staff Management: Interview, hire, train, onboard, and mentor nursing staff; assign and schedule work; manage payroll, attendance, and time-off requests; conduct performance evaluations and support employee development; address performance concerns and collaborate with leadership on corrective actions.
• Clinical Operations: Serve as a subject matter expert for clinical skills training and patient services; provide in-service education, coaching, and precepting; identify and escalate high-priority patient concerns; support efficient patient flow and collaborate with providers; ensure compliance with departmental guidelines, clinical standards, and electronic health record workflows.
• Collaboration & Quality: Partner with clinic leadership and interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, high-quality care; support research and quality improvement initiatives; maintain staff competency and compliance with organizational, regulatory, and safety requirements; foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program.
• Current Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in an ambulatory or outpatient setting.
• Strong knowledge of patient care standards and clinical best practices.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
• Understanding of OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations.
• Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Pay

USD $39.15 - USD $58.72 /Hr.
