Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Maintain awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensure safety in practice, including reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Understand the patient population served and set/evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes.
• Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care to address specific patient needs.
• Act as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager.
• Advance knowledge of self and others on the patient care team through communication and utilization of available resources.

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement.
• BLS from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS.
• PALS.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Qualifications

• Required: ASN or Nursing Diploma.
• Preferred: BSN.

Schedule

• Day Shift.
• Per Diem, scheduled as needed with a minimum requirement of 2 shifts per month.
• Must work 1 winter and 1 summer holiday.

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $47.85 - $64.04 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
