About the role
Lancaster General Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join their team in the Emergency Department (ED).
Responsibilities
- Treats 300 to 400 patients daily with a variety of conditions.
- Assesses, evaluates, and plans care for patients, including those with chronic and acute issues.
- Coordinates care across multiple disciplines and among caregivers.
- Communicates expected standards of care and supports team members.
- Educates patients on healthy practices and treatment modalities.
- Enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices using technology.
Requirements
- RN licensure from the PA Board of Nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher level nursing degree.
- Completion of the Nurse Residency Program or more than 15 months of practice.
- CPR Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Healthcare provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs.
