About the role
Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department, providing direct patient care in a fast-paced, level 1 trauma setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver top-of-scope nursing care utilizing evidence-based practices
- Prioritize patient safety
- Contribute to quality improvement
- Support and guide new staff through specialty education and orientation programs, including cohort training for ED newcomers
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes, model proficiency, and promote a patient-centered approach
- Provide emergency care up to level 1 trauma
- Support education and competency validation
- Participate in a dynamic clinical environment
- Emphasize teamwork, professional growth, and adherence to safety standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or with less than 3 years' experience
- RN licensure
- At least 6 months of RN experience
- BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross required, valid through sixty days of hire
