Join Team Tidelands and help people live better lives through better health! As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department, you'll play a crucial role in providing quality care to patients.
Responsibilities
- Carry out individualized patient assessments, prioritizing data collection based on immediate conditions or needs as outlined by policy, and collaborate with other healthcare team members.
- Maintain and document patient conditions, assessment findings, and physical/psychological responses to nursing interventions, tracking progress towards problem resolution.
- Accurately administer treatments and medications according to orders, policies, and timeframes, ensuring therapeutic nursing interventions and care delivery with appropriate age and cultural sensitivity.
- Communicate patient symptoms to providers and other staff during SBAR reports, observing and interpreting patient responses.
Requirements
- ADN degree required, BSN preferred, MSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care critical care setting preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Confidentiality skills and ability to provide care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner, respecting patient diversity, autonomy, dignity, and rights.
- Strong critical thinking abilities in patient care, interpreting test results, communicating with providers, and managing administrative tasks.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Confidentiality skills and ability to provide care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner, respecting patient diversity, autonomy, dignity, and rights.
- Demonstrate critical thinking abilities with patient care, critical test results, provider contacts, and administrative house supervisors.

Pay
The pay range for this position is determined by the state of South Carolina and is commensurate with experience. Specific details are available upon request.
Schedule
The Emergency Department operates on a 12-hour shift schedule, rotating shifts to cover all shifts throughout the week.
