Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

The Emergency Department at Pen Bay Hospital is a fast-paced, dynamic unit designated as a Level II Emergency Department and an Acute Care Facility Primary Stroke Center, providing comprehensive emergency care 24 hours a week. As a Registered Nurse 2, you will provide high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. You will collaborate, delegate, and communicate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

Responsibilities

• Care for both adult and pediatric patients presenting with a wide range of needs, including behavioral health concerns, acute and chronic illnesses, as well as critically ill and traumatically injured individuals.
• Assess patients to determine their needs and develop a care plan accordingly.
• Implement the care plan, monitor patient progress, and evaluate outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Delegating tasks to other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• One year of recent RN experience required.

Qualifications

• Automatic advancement from RN I level if all onboarding requirements are complete, including the New Grad Residency (where available).

Pay

• $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of RN experience.
• $20,000 Sign on bonus for Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN work experience.

Schedule

• Full or Part time RN position.
• 36 hour/week, night shift position.
• Every other weekend and Holiday Rotation.
