Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

About the role

Atrium Health Cleveland Emergency Department provides 24-hour emergency medical services to Cleveland County and the surrounding communities. The department is a Level III trauma center with around-the-clock physician coverage by board-certified emergency medicine providers, resuscitation, surgery, and intensive care resources for trauma patients. It is also a designated Chest Pain Center and offers in-house on-call medical specialists for consultation.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience
• This position is not for new graduates
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• One year of inpatient RN experience preferred
