About the role
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Dialysis is responsible for delivering direct patient care in a hospital setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing activities.
Responsibilities
- Promote patient and family-centered care
- Educate patients on managing their condition
- Develop individualized care plans
- Ensure effective communication across care teams
- Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and professional development
- Use critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations
Qualifications
Hold an RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; a Bachelor's degree and less than two years of experience are preferred. Peritoneal Dialysis experience is advantageous. Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and safety awareness.
Schedule
Include 3 to 12-hour shifts, primarily nights, with rotating weekends and on-call responsibilities. Self-scheduling is available in 6-week periods.
