Registered Nurse (RN) Detox

Position Summary

Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

Essential Functions

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Auxiliaries patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates with patients and families on educational needs.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
