About the role
Join a team where the Staff Nurse (RN) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. Opportunities to work with various patient populations including children, adolescents, and adults.
Responsibilities
- Prescribe, coordinate, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with health team members.
- Adhere to the nursing process and standards of care and practices.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
- Rotating weekends.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
- Currently licensed to practice by the Mississippi State Board of Nursing.
- Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
- CPR certification and CPI certification (Management of Aggressive Behavior), including restraint and seclusion policies, within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in restraining procedures. Training can be obtained during new hire orientation.
