Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

About the Role

Provides clinical oversight and direct patient care in a mental health or geriatric setting, ensuring safety, treatment adherence, and a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and implement and update care plans.
• Supervise nursing staff and administer medications and IV therapies.
• Document patient care accurately and educate patients and families.
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and safety protocols, including infection control, abuse prevention, and patient rights.
• Monitor patient progress, manage behavioral interventions, and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and maintain organized records.
• Promote a respectful, ethical workplace.

Requirements

• RN licensure.
• CPR and CPI certifications.
• At least one year of relevant experience in mental health or geriatric care.
• Familiarity with medical and behavioral health equipment.

Skills

• Strong communication and crisis problem-solving.
• Knowledge of restraint techniques and medication management.
• Understanding of legal regulations in healthcare.
