About the role

We are seeking a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. This role acts as a leader in the Interdisciplinary Team, managing nursing team resources and ensuring quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
  • Achieves learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient, family, and group needs.
  • Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the Interdisciplinary Team.
  • Evaluates and promotes change to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improve the profession of nursing.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
  • Current RN license in state of practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Certification in Clinical Specialty Area preferred.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Skills

  • Knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Ability to remain knowledgeable on these laws, regulations, and standards and ensure compliance.
