About the role
Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center is a 938-bed, quaternary acute care community hospital located centrally in the south side of Milwaukee. The hospital offers a variety of advanced health care services including robotic thoracic procedures, CVORCABG, Aortic Dissection, VAD, Heart transplants, and Robotic thoracic procedures.
Responsibilities
- Time outs
- Positioning of patient
- Maintains sterile and safe environment
- Prepares the OR with necessary supplies
- Checks for inventory
- Documents all aspects of the procedure
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Strong preference for experience as an RN and/or prior OR experience
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong preference for experience as an RN and/or prior OR experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification is required, and completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing is preferred.

Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is typically 8-hour shifts, with potential for on-call responsibilities.
