Registered Nurse (RN) Coordinator, OB
About the role
As an OB RN Coordinator, you will provide and coordinate care of the OB patient using the nursing process. You will identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of clinical services, perform performance improvement studies, assist with implementation of PI initiatives, serve as a resource to staff and external contacts, monitor departmental compliance, coordinate staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations. You will also provide and coordinate patient educational needs, specifically to Labor and Delivery.
Responsibilities
- Provides and coordinates care of the OB patient using nursing process.
- Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical services.
- Performs performance improvement studies and assists with implementation of PI initiatives.
- Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
- Maintains departmental compliance with applicable requirements, including accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission.
- Captures and implements feedback from patients and staff to improve processes and outcomes.
- Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.
- Provides and coordinates patient educational needs, specifically to Labor and Delivery.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and projects.
Requirements
Applicants should have a current Michigan RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Two years of acute care experience
- OB experience
- Leadership experience (preferred)
- EFM, STABLE (within 6 months)
- PEOP (completed within 1 year)
- Annual influenza vaccination or declination required

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually.
Schedule
This position offers 10 x 8-hour Evening Shifts per pay period, from 3p-11p, with no weekends or holidays.
