Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical Supervisor

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical Supervisor position at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is a PRN role with varied and rotating weekend/holiday shifts. This role is part of a larger network of healthcare facilities under Lifepoint Health.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a leader, ensuring the delivery of optimal care to every patient and fostering a positive team environment.
• Affirms staffing needs for the upcoming shift and coordinates staff schedules accordingly.
• Assists staff in providing patient care and handling emergencies as needed.
• Communicates important patient care information to staff and other relevant parties.
• Acts as a liaison between physicians and the health care team, facilitating communication and resolving issues.
• Completes quality concern reports and investigates complaints from patients, visitors, and physicians.
• Ensures accurate census records and maintains up-to-date documentation.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current RN license in Pennsylvania or a current multistate license (MSL).
• Associate's degree in Nursing or related field preferred, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or Health Care Administration preferred.
• One to three years' experience in supervision, and three to five years' experience in nursing practice.
• BLS ACLS certification within six months of hire, and Basic Trauma Nurse Course (BTNC) or equivalent training within one year of hire.
