About the role
Medical Surgical Supervisor – Full-time role at a hospital in Missouri, overseeing night shift operations from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff in a medical‑surgical unit.
- Ensure quality patient care and compliance with hospital policies.
- Lead team management, foster collaboration, and support clinical workflows.
- Participate in staff development and performance evaluations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree, Nursing Diploma, or BSN).
- Current RN license in Missouri or valid compact licensure.
- 3‑5 years of hospital nursing experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with completion within 30 days if not already held.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform prolonged standing and walking.
- Capability to perform various physical movements necessary for nursing duties.
Skills
- BSN degree (preferred).
- Additional certifications (preferred).
- Management experience (preferred).
- Familiarity with change management (preferred).
