Registered Nurse, (RN) - CCSD

About the role

The CCSD Unit at Raleigh General Hospital provides specialized intermediate-level care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing support following critical illness, cardiac events, surgical procedures, or complex medical conditions. Nurses on the unit are skilled in cardiac monitoring, post-procedural care, telemetry interpretation, medication management, and patient/family education.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

Requirements

• A current state RN license
• An associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
• ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred

Qualifications

• Current state RN license

• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within six months of hire
• One year of experience preferred
