About the role

The Cath Lab RN plans and coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients utilizing the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice during pre, intra and post care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients utilizing the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice during pre, intra and post care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab.
  • Assists the Cath Lab team in preparing patients for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Monitors patient vital signs and reports any changes to the Cath Lab team.
  • Collaborates with the Cath Lab team to ensure the smooth operation of the Cath Lab, including managing inventory and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Provides patient education and support throughout the cardiac procedure and recovery process.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies related to patient care in the Cath Lab.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association with cards in-hand before start date
  • 3 years RN Cath Lab/EP experience minimum
  • Vascular and/or CVOR experience is a plus

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of cardiac procedures and patient care protocols

Skills

  • Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Experience with patient monitoring equipment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Pay

Commensurate with experience

Schedule

Full-time 4–10-hour shifts per week, with rotating evening/weekend call. 30-minute callback radius applicable.
