Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care to patients ranging from infants to the elderly, focusing on physical, psychological, and cognitive aspects of their health.
  • Assesses patients, evaluates progress towards treatment goals, and modifies care plans based on patient responses and changing conditions.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care and patient outcomes.
  • Communicates effectively with patients and families, educating them on healthy practices and treatment options.
  • Coordinates care across different healthcare disciplines and among various caregivers.
  • Assigns tasks to other healthcare professionals and ensures the implementation of the care plan.
  • Adapts to new technologies and practices to improve patient care.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure from the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing or a Temporary Practice Permit.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but not required for Magnet-designated positions.
  • Completion of the Nurse Residency Program.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
