About the role
Provides clinical expertise and leadership in the facilitation and delivery of care for the cardiac surgical specialty for patient care and staff members.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and deliver high-quality cardiac surgical care
- Lead interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans
- Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to nursing staff
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and risk management activities
Requirements
- Education [formal]: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa
- Minimum of 3 years in acute care nursing experience
- One year of Critical Care or Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of cardiac surgery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for providing exceptional patient care
