Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiology

About the role

Join the Cardiology team at the MaineHealth Herbert and Roberta Watson Health Center on the MaineHealth Miles Campus as a Per Diem Registered Nurse and become part of a collaborative team dedicated to providing outstanding cardiovascular care to patients throughout Mid Coast Maine.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside cardiologists, advanced practice providers, medical assistants, and other members of the cardiovascular team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with a wide range of heart and vascular conditions.
• Play an essential role in patient assessment, telephone triage, care coordination, medication management, diagnostic testing, patient education, and ensuring patients receive seamless care throughout their cardiovascular journey.
• Help patients better understand their heart health, reinforce treatment plans, coordinate specialty services, monitor patient progress, and provide the education and support that empowers patients to actively manage their cardiovascular health.

Requirements

• Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• One year of recent RN experience required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
