Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiology
Job Summary
The Hartford HealthCare Heart and Vascular Institute at Hartford Hospital is seeking an experienced nurse to join their Non-Invasive Cardiology team. The Non-Invasive Cardiology Department includes the Echocardiology Laboratory and the Nuclear Stress Laboratory. Over 14,000 echocardiograms and procedural echocardiograms, as well as over 4,500 stress tests, are performed annually on inpatients and outpatients. Nurses collaborate with echocardiology sonographers, nuclear technologists, cardiologists, cardiology fellows, and anesthesiologists to provide strong nursing support for all non-invasive testing. Nurses play a crucial role by utilizing their knowledge, independence, and autonomy to offer cardiovascular screening, diagnostic testing, and pre and post-surgical testing.
Qualifications
- Current Connecticut RN License
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN required)
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire
- Strong cardiology background preferred
Shift Detail
This position offers three rotating full-time shifts between 7am-5pm, no call, rotating weekends, and only one holiday a year within a supportive and stimulating environment.
