Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Step Down

About the Role

This position provides direct clinical patient care and assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing care for assigned patients. It involves supervising staff, ensuring high-quality, safe, and cost-effective nursing services, and coordinating patient care based on established standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess and deliver individualized patient care per shift and unit needs.
• Supervise clinical staff and delegate appropriate care tasks.
• Support quality improvement, safety, risk management, and infection control protocols.
• Coordinate patient care within medical regimens, ensuring optimal discharge planning.
• Fulfill all hospital incident command system responsibilities during emergencies.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency codes and hospital policies.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current valid license, certification, or registration to practice as a nurse.
• CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in nursing.
