Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac ICU (Nights)

About the role

The Registered Nurse performs nursing functions and supervises other RNs and assistive personnel in delivering care according to the state nurse practice act. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning and implementing patient care, and evaluating its effectiveness.

The CVICU is a 6-bed critical care unit specializing in the care of patients recovering from open-heart surgery (CABG, valve replacement) and a variety of thoracic surgeries.

Requirements

• Georgia Registered Nurse License or Multistate Nursing License
• Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire (required for ED, ICU, Surgery, PACU, L&D, SSU if taking GI call, or Cath Lab)
• NRP certification within one year of hire (required for Nursery and L&D)
• PALS certification within one year of hire (required for PACU)
• SCIPP certification within 90 days of hire (required for Willowbrooke)

Qualifications

• Medical-ICU experience required (minimum 6 months, 1 year preferred)
