Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health Services

About the role

We are seeking a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (BHU RN) to provide comprehensive acute care to adults and children in outpatient and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes.
• Educate patients and families on health management and treatment plans.
• Document care comprehensively using electronic health records.
• Participate in daily rounds and contribute to care team discussions.
• Supervise support staff and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Promote safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Unit-specific certifications as required (e.g., CIT, ACLS, PALS, stroke education).
