MacNeal Hospital's Behavioral Health Services Department is an adult psychiatric department with five units and 68 beds. Unit sizes range from 11 to 14 beds. We provide comprehensive care for a wide spectrum of psychiatric diagnoses and alcohol detoxification. MacNeal Hospital seeks dedicated team members to positively impact the lives of those disproportionately affected by gaps in the healthcare system and those with mental illness.

The Role You Will Contribute To
- Chronic Diagnosis/Intensive Treatment Unit: Nurses work as a team to create structure for the sickest patients, strengthening de-escalation skills and gaining a robust understanding of mental illness and institutionalization.
- Geriatric Unit: Nurses provide care for patients with depressive disorders, bipolar or schizophrenia, along with aging and multiple comorbidities.
- General Inpatient Psychiatric Units: Nurses implement evidence-based practices and provide trauma-informed care in a supportive environment for individuals struggling with major depressive disorder, anxiety, alcohol or substance detoxification, and postpartum depression.
Pay Range
- BSN Pay Range: $36.05 - $59.92 per hour
- ADN Pay Range: $32.90 - $57.06 per hour
