Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health
About the role
The registered nurse (RN) plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Unit. This intensive outpatient treatment is designed to assist adults in overcoming the barriers to recovery from persistent behavioral health conditions. This includes assistance with housing, finances, training, employment, addiction and medication management.
Responsibilities
- Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintains patient condition monitoring and communicates to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Affords assistance with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).
- Delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.
- Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current state RN license and possession of a bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- One year of experience preferred.
- Handle with care preferred.
- Critical thinking and decisive judgment skills; ability to work with minimal supervision in stressful environments.
- Able to quickly learn and navigate multiple clinical software systems.
- Effective English communication (read, write, speak, and understand).
- Ability to successfully complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in state of practice and BCLS required.

Pay
$36.26 - $50.77 per hour.
Schedule
Full Time | Days | 40 Hours a week.
