Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) for the Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) Unit plays a crucial role in providing intensive outpatient treatment to adults with persistent behavioral health conditions. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the recovery process and improve the lives of patients.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served.
• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintains patient condition documentation and communicates with the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Affords assistance with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Assesses learning needs and delivers age- and culture-appropriate patient and family education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call.

Requirements

• Current state RN license and possession of a bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Additional qualifications include: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Current RN license in state of practice and BCLS required. Additional certifications or training may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with neonate, infant, early childhood, late childhood, adolescent, young adult, middle adult, and older adult populations.
• Knowledge of demographic, clinical, insurance, financial, and complete medical record information.
• Ability to handle occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens and physical hazards.
• Skills in critical thinking, decisive judgment, multitasking, and effective communication.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding).
• Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple clinical software systems.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Pay

$36.26 - $50.77 per hour.

Schedule

PRN | Rotating Shift.
