Registered Nurse RN Behavioral Health

About the role

The Behavioral Health Pavilion at the Banner University Medical Center - South Campus is a Level 1 Psychiatric facility in Tucson, AZ. It provides services including crisis stabilization, psychiatric assessments, 24-hour psychiatric & nursing care, expressive arts therapy, group therapy, family support therapy, medication management, and a separate behavioral health unit within the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the care of highest acuity involuntary behavioral health patients.
• Complete nursing assessments, medication administration, daily living activities, and ensure patient safety.
• Encourage patients to learn new coping skills and attend group sessions.
• Floating to other Behavioral Health units may be required based on census numbers.
• Work full-time day shifts from 7am-7:30pm, rotating weekends and holidays.
• Utilize self-scheduling tool and receive additional $1/hour Weekend Shift differential and 18% Night Shift differential.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• At least 12 months of Behavioral Health RN experience and a 12-month commitment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred.

Skills

• Strong prior behavioral health experience.
• Prior de-escalation experience preferred.

Benefits

• $10,000 Sign-on Incentive eligible with 12 months of Behavioral Health RN experience and a 12-month commitment.
• Additional $1/hour Weekend Shift differential and 18% Night Shift differential.

• Varies based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule
