Must apply online: https://gen-stateofsouthdako-trn.inforcloudsuite.com/hcm/xmlhttp/shorturl.do?key=4ZH You must apply online, emailed resumes or submissions will not be accepted. South Dakota Bureau of Human Resources Telephone: 605.773.3148 Email: careers@state.sd.us http://bhr.sd.gov/workforus "An Equal Opportunity Employer" We need to remove boilerplate: cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. Also remove "Must apply online..." etc. Also remove contact info? Probably considered boilerplate. The instruction: remove application instructions. So we should drop the "Must apply online..." line and contact info. Also drop EEO line. We need to preserve substantive info: agency, location, salary, hiring incentive, benefits, schedule, description of role, responsibilities, qualifications, required competencies, preferred qualifications, conditions of employment (background check, drug screen, self-defense, TB screening, etc.), additional requirements (resume with references, civil service exempt, veterans preference, etc.), benefits details (health insurance, holidays, leave, retirement). Also schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week flexible schedule includes weekend/holiday rotation. Pay: salary range plus differentials. Benefits: $0 premium health insurance, 11 paid holidays, generous vacation and sick leave accrual, dental, vision, other insurance, retirement benefits (Class A under SDRS). Also hiring incentive $10k (but note current state employees not eligible). Also full state benefits and SDRS retirement mentioned earlier. We need to decide sections. Possible sections: About the role (maybe the introductory paragraph about DOC and why), Responsibilities (What You Will Do), Requirements (Qualifications + Required Competencies?), Skills (maybe Required Competencies?), Benefits, Pay, Schedule. But we must not create sections with filler. Use only if we have real content. Let's map: - About the role: Could include agency, location, mission statement, why DOC, etc. That's substantive. - Responsibilities: The "What You Will Do" list. - Requirements: Could combine Qualifications (license) and Required Competencies (abilities). Could also include Preferred Qualifications? Usually separate but we can put under Requirements or Skills. But we need to avoid thin sections. Perhaps we have Requirements (license + required competencies) and Skills (preferred qualifications). Or we could combine all into Requirements and not have Skills. - Benefits: details about health insurance, holidays, leave, retirement, hiring incentive, etc. - Pay: salary range plus differentials. - Schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week flexible schedule includes weekend/holiday rotation. We must not include sections like "About the role" if content is just fluff? We have substantive content: agency, location, why DOC, etc. So okay. We must not repeat job title as heading (the page already shows it). So we don't add a heading for job title. We must not put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings. We must output only HTML fragment. Let's craft. We'll need

About the role

then

with agency, location, why DOC, mission, etc. We need to preserve all substantive info, not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include specifics: Agency: Department of Corrections - Clinical and Correctional Services. Location: Springfield. Why DOC: opportunity to make a difference, creativity, professional development, teamwork. Also mention full-time position, three 12-hour shifts per week, flexible schedule includes weekend/holiday rotation. That could go under Schedule but also could be in About the role. However schedule details belong in Schedule section. We'll keep schedule separate. Thus About the role: agency, location, why DOC (creativity, making a difference, professional development, teamwork). Also mention that it's Correctional Nursing at Mike Durfee State Prison. Also mention full-time position? Might be schedule. We'll include: "The South Dakota Department of Corrections is hiring for a Correctional Nursing position at Mike Durfee State Prison. Agency: Department of Corrections - Clinical and Correctional Services. Location: Springfield. As a DOC employee, you will have the opportunity to make a difference, experience creativity through innovative ideas, benefit from professional development trainings, and work in a team-oriented environment." That seems fine. Responsibilities: list from "What You Will Do". We'll convert to

  • items. We need to preserve all details: list items separated by semicolons in original. We'll split each clause. Let's extract list: - documents in an accurate and timely manner to provide comprehensive inmate medical records - transcribes reports at change of shifts - provides standardized patient education within established nursing guidelines - preserves confidentiality - provides physical care and treatments, administers medications, collaborates on treatment plans, employs infection control measures, provides crisis intervention, interviews and triages offenders and performs patient and staff instruction - assists physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners with minor medical and surgical procedures - ensures ordering and restocking of medications and supplies - may occasionally be required to participate in restraining an offender primarily for medical reasons - observes and reports the physical and emotional condition of offenders including the effectiveness of medications and treatments during triage, sick call, and emergency situations - performs physical and emotional assessments of offenders during triage, sick-call, and emergency situations, employing basic nursing and assessment skills and protocol - promotes and is accountable for safety
