About the role

The Registered Nurse at River of Life Care Center is responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing comprehensive nursing care to residents. They also provide supervision and guidance to clinical staff members.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates and leads team conferences in the development of individualized nursing care plans.
  • Affirms and documents the resident's condition and nursing needs.
  • Accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders.
  • Sets up nursing care assignments according to the resident's needs and the abilities and qualifications of the assigned staff.
  • Supervises, directs, and evaluates LPNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
  • Administers medications, starts IVs, and performs treatments for assigned residents, and documents these treatments as required by the company, and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
  • Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
  • Assists physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
  • Ensures that supplies are used efficiently and that equipment is clean and maintained in a safe manner.
  • Reports and documents pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
  • Collaborates with other departments to coordinate nursing care for residents undergoing therapy or procedures.
  • Interviews applicants and recommends hires.
  • Participates in counseling, disciplinary actions, and terminations of staff, to the extent permitted by state practice act.
  • Schedules and directs the nursing staff to the extent permitted by state practice act.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Valid RN license in the state employed.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • One year of nursing experience preferred.

  • Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Pay

FT Starting Wages at $35-$48.17 per Hour. Wage calculation is based on experience, shift, and a $8/hr weekend warrior program. Flexible pay options: get paid daily, weekly, or bi-weekly through UKG Wallet.

Schedule

Shifts: 3-11 pm and Weekend Warrior.
