Registered Nurse (RN)

About the role

The Registered Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager. Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.

Minimum Training and Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a Registered Nurse
• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with American Heart Association (AHA)
• Some positions require certification in AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• AHA Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
• NIHSS Stroke Scale Certification
• Crisis Prevention training
