Registered Nurse (RN)
Onaga Health and Rehab in Onaga, KS is looking to hire a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic and caring clinical team.
About the role
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you provide total care for our residents, carefully monitoring their condition and needs. You follow physician orders to administer medications and treatments, ensure narcotic policies and procedures are followed, monitor for side effects, and report any changes in resident conditions. You oversee nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff to ensure resident care plans are followed, complete documentation, and handle resident admissions and discharges. You report any bruises, skin tears, or neglect, maintain confidentiality, and comply with HIPAA requirements and facility policies. Your warm demeanor helps you build relationships with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Monitor resident conditions and needs
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Ensure compliance with narcotic policies and procedures
- Monitor for medication side effects and report changes in resident conditions
- Oversee nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff to follow resident care plans
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
- Admit and discharge residents
- Report bruises, skin tears, or signs of neglect
- Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Uphold facility policies and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
Requirements
- RN licensure with the KS Board of Nursing
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Desire to work with the elderly
- Trustworthy, respectful, dependable, and professional demeanor
- Strong team player with effective communication skills
Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required.
