About the role
Masonic Villages of Pennsylvania - Elizabethtown Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN).
Responsibilities
- Carries out the Mission of Love by ensuring care of geriatric residents.
- Serves as a resource and coach to the nursing team on the unit for the particular shift.
- Conducts performance reviews, recommends or conducts disciplinary action, and is involved in resolving issues.
- Maintains continuity and evaluates nursing care routines according to I.D.C.P. and physician’s orders.
- Affirms medication, treatment, and care provision as per the I.D.C.P.
- Documents nursing observations and updates in the medical record.
- Prepares equipment and assists physicians during rounds or special treatments/examinations.
- Answers call lights promptly.
- Performs glucometer readings, EKGs, and other tests as necessary.
- Communicates effectively, assertively, and non-aggressively.
- Maintains confidentiality of staff and residents.
- Maintains collaborative communications with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and facility departments.
- Maintains compliance with state regulations and monitors assigned nursing unit for compliance.
- Attends in-service programs and stays updated on current nursing theories and practices.
- Utilizes online educational resources.
- Fulfills advocacy roles for transitional care patients and their families by providing and interpreting information, supporting decisions, and facilitating communication.
- Participates in transitional care patient education as planned through the ID team.
- Uses PointClickCare (PCC) for seamless clinical documentation and communication.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a Registered Nurse (RN) degree.
- Current RN licensure by the PA State Board of Nursing.
- CPR certification prior to or upon employment.
- Previous leadership and long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred.
- Computer skills required.
- Experience with an electronic medical record preferred.

- Must be available to work nights.
- Pay rate: $47.61 PLUS Shift Premiums including $2.50 for Night Shifts and additional $1 Shift Differential for Weekends.

Pay
