Registered Nurse (RN)

About the role

The Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) is responsible for the overall nursing care/service, and management of all personnel on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated. Our team members provide extraordinary care and hold each other accountable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on your shift
• Administer direct care as necessary
• Give and receive shift reports
• Round and assure that proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment
• Keep physicians and families aware of changes in resident’s condition
• Assist in developing comprehensive care plans
• Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident
• Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered
• Respond to resident emergency call system
• Interface with other disciplines to assure continuity of care and services
• Accompany physicians when making rounds
• Encourage restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• RN with a current license in Pennsylvania
• At least 1 year experience in geriatric nursing
• Long Term Care (LTC) experience a plus
• Supervisory experience required
• Basic computer proficiency
• Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression
• Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
• Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Pay

$40–45/hr plus differential. Shift differential: $4/hr for Weekday Evenings and Nights, and $6/hr for all weekend shifts. Actual salary may fall outside of the posted range as it is dependent on skills and experience.
